emmsio is an architecture and design studio based in Helsinki, Finland. The practice approaches design through a humanistic and psychological perspective.

The studio aims to better understand the emotional connections we shape with the architecture, furniture, and art that surrounds us; what makes us like, cherish and maintain the objects in our everyday lives?

emmsio has worked on projects varying in scale, with portfolio that includes a holiday house in the south of Spain, a modular piece that can be transformed into various objects, and a coffee table that extends into a daybed.
